At Unison Health and Community Services, we believe that good health is more than good medical care. It also means affordable housing, clean air and access to education and jobs. Our staff works with the community to identify and take action on community health issues. We partner with our community to offer a variety of programs and projects that help to create healthy places to live and work.
Activities range from group programs to community presentations and participation in efforts to make changes in public attitude or public policy. Our programs focus on our priority populations: youth, seniors, new immigrants, those affected by mental health issues, those with multiple complex chronic diseases and under-resourced parents. Free childcare and interpretation is provided for most programmes in the centre.
